About the school
The Clinton School is a vibrant grades 6 to 12 District 2 community school dedicated to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and academically rich environment for all students. The primary mission at Clinton is to prepare every young person for the journey ahead, culminating in the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. As an IB Continuum School, Clinton offers a seamless academic pathway consisting of both the Middle Years Programme for grades 6 to 10 and the Diploma Programme for grades 11 and 12. This unique seven-year scope and sequence is intentionally designed to challenge and support a wide range of learners throughout their entire time at the school. From the moment a child enters the sixth grade, acceptance into the full IB pathway is automatic. The school philosophy is built on the belief that every student thrives when given high expectations combined with robust, caring support. The International Baccalaureate framework is a rigorous international program that focuses deeply on the development of the whole child. It requires meaningful learning across six major core content areas, which include Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, the Arts, and World Language study in Spanish. Beyond core academics, the curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, international mindedness, and community action, helping students grow into compassionate, globally conscious citizens. Recognizing that middle school is a time of immense growth both inside and outside the classroom, Clinton ensures that learning and engagement continue after the final bell. We have a long-stand partnership with Manhattan Youth, who run our free programs, five days a week.
