About the school

The Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) partners with Rosie's Theater Kids to provide high-quality training in the performing arts and a competitive academic program. Rosie's Theater Kids teaching artists provide 6th, 7th, & 8th grade PPAS Middle School students with pre-professional training in the Theater Arts. Each child will receive 90 minutes of daily foundational training in the performing arts including acting, dance, and voice classes, and a range of experiences that supports and further motivates their exploration and future artistic pursuits at PPAS, and beyond. Our curriculum provides students with the artistic and personal skills to be leaders in the field and in whatever profession they choose to pursue. PPAS middle school students are guaranteed a placement in one of the PPAS high school arts programs, if they choose to stay. We provide a middle school experience that is well-rounded and considers every child's interest, learning styles, and needs. In person auditions will be held at the following location: PPAS, 328 West 48th Street.
