About the school

At Quest middle school, learning is an adventure grounded in game-like learning, social-emotional learning, and the development of 21st-century skills. We believe that game-like learning is a powerful vehicle for delivering rigorous, standards-based instruction, engaging students in meaningful challenges that spark curiosity, creativity, and deep academic thinking. Through immersive, project-based experiences, students collaborate to solve authentic problems, build academic mastery, and develop critical skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. Teachers design engaging learning experiences that make complex content accessible and challenging while maintaining high expectations for all learners. Students demonstrate their learning through collaborative projects, authentic performance tasks, and design challenges that connect classroom learning to real-world applications. Small class sizes and Home Base advisory routines ensure every student is known, supported, and challenged. We build community, promote social-emotional learning, and support academic growth, helping students develop resilience, self-awareness, and a strong sense of belonging. We provide all students with rigorous learning opportunities, including Earth and Space Science and Algebra I Regents courses in eighth grade that offer the opportunity to earn high school credit and Regents exams.
