About the school

At Manhattan East School for Arts & Academics, we believe every child deserves a joyful, challenging, and creative middle school experience. Our school is a safe, caring community where students feel known, supported, and inspired to do their best. At Manhattan East, all students rise and creativity thrives. We offer a strong academic foundation paired with rich arts experiences, helping students discover their talents and build confidence. Children learn through hands‑on projects, collaboration, and opportunities to express themselves in Fine Arts, Music/Band, and Drama. As students grow, they take on more advanced coursework, including the chance to earn up to four Regents level high school credits by the end of eighth grade. We celebrate diversity, encourage curiosity, and work together so every child can shine.
