About the school
P.S./I.S. 187 Hudson Cliffs School is a proud community of learners in Washington Heights, NY. Our school is built on traditions and community. Whether it's raising funds for breast cancer awareness during our Think Pink week in October to our spirited staff versus 8th-grade March Madness volleyball games, our commitment is to providing a safe and nurturing environment where every child can grow and thrive. Our school believes in providing our students with the best academic experience possible while also focusing on their social-emotional needs. Our upper grades are integrated within our Pre K-8th grade school community. Students in our middle school take classes in Math, Science, Literacy, Social Studies, Visual Arts, Instrumental Band (brass and woodwinds), Technology, and Spanish. In addition, students have an opportunity to explore musical theater in the annual school musical, sports with track and field, basketball, soccer, and more!
