About the school
Founded in 1985 as a magnet school for gifted children, the Mott Hall School remains a shining gem in District Six providing an advanced curriculum to our scholars. Our mission is to develop future leaders in Mathematics, Science, and Technology by providing a world-class education that prepares students for high school, college, and higher learning. We provide a rigorous academic curriculum and whole-child program that includes experiences both inside and outside the school building. Mott Hall creates a home away from home atmosphere that inspires students to explore, grow, and ask questions. We provide an advanced curriculum with opportunities to earn high school credits by the end of their eighth grade year. Focusing on restorative practices, we also strive to create an atmosphere that moves our students toward assuming personal and social responsibility. We work closely with community partners, including our treasured partnerships with National Dance Institute, NY Edge, and City College to provide a well-rounded, exciting learning experience for all of our scholars.
