About the school

New Pathways Arts Academy (NPA) is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School with an MYP (Middle Year Program) that focuses on the ARTS. NPA scholars are nurtured to become exemplary citizens and lifelong learners through our mission of developing internationally minded individuals with inquiring and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to walk their PATH (Perseverance, Accountability, Thoughtfulness, Honesty). As a neighborhood community school we aspire to provide a supportive environment where all students can achieve a passion for excellence and a love for the arts. We have grown into a beacon of intellectual distinction and a place where children are provided with the tools to flourish as lifelong learners who embody the ten IB Learner Profile Attributes. We are an authorized AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) school that focuses on college and career strategies that builds up the core of our instruction. Our main community partners include: DreamYard Project, Salvadori Center, MonteFiore Health Center (Full On-Site Health Clinic), Astor (On-Site Mental Health Clinic), LEAP (After-School Enrichment Program), Release the Grip (Community Safety Partnership), and Center for Supportive Schools (Our Key Community Partner).
