About the school

Bronx Park Middle School is a welcoming, academically ambitious community where students think critically, lead with purpose, and grow as independent learners. As an IB Middle Years Programme school, we provide inquiry-based learning experiences that connect classroom content to real-world issues and develop knowledgeable, reflective, and compassionate global citizens. Students engage daily with rigorous literacy, math, science, and social studies instruction using high-quality, research-backed materialsincluding EL Education and Illustrative Mathematics. Through school-wide inquiry, students explore meaningful questions, analyze evidence, and apply learning to authentic challenges. Every student participates in Advisory, where they build relationships, develop leadership, and embody our PRIDE values: Presence, Reflection, Innovation, Determination, and Empathy. Our culture centers on social-emotional safety and restorative practices so every student feels known and ready to learn. Bronx Park is open-enrollment no test, no audition, no lottery. We proudly serve a diverse community, including English Language Learners and students with IEPs, with specialized support woven into every part of the day. Enrichment opportunities include multiple regents, coding, robotics, arts, athletics, and student government. Through the IB MYP Community Project, students in every grade engage in self-directed service learning - identifying a community need and designing a real response. Our mission: "Flow. Growth. Purpose. Every Student, Every Day" reflects our belief that students thrive when supported, stretched, and connected to purpose. Our students have achieved all-time highs in NYS ELA and Math proficiency, proof that high expectations and genuine care go hand in hand.
