About the school

M.S. 57 . . . Where Our Lions R.O.A.R! Here at M.S. 57, we are a Family where our vision is to help scholars become aware and accountable of their strengths and areas of challenges to become innovative and reflective leaders. Through this vision, our mission is to build upon their academic and social emotional strengths. Our scholars will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills needed to thrive in all aspects. We believe all scholars are worthy of an education, emotional support, unique experiences, love, respect, joy, and fun. Scholars will see Broadway plays, perform Broadway plays, go on overnight trips, engage in social emotional workshops, have access to many sports and more. We partner with our school community to join us on our journey to success as we help scholars realize the power they already have to be leaders exemplified through our core values of Resilience, Optimism, Accountability & Respect. Scholars come as cubs, but leave as Lions with a fierce R.O.A.R. They will live our motto: "Hear My R.O.A.R . . . Know My Strength!"
