About the school
Ebbets Field Middle School is a small, community-centered school located on the historic Jackie Robinson Campus in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Inspired by Jackie Robinson’s legacy of perseverance, leadership, and excellence, we provide students with personalized support and opportunities that connect learning to the real world. Students can explore their interests through our Culinary Arts Program, where they develop cooking, nutrition, and entrepreneurship skills, and our Hydroponics Program, where they learn sustainable agriculture and environmental science through hands-on growing experiences. Our commitment to health and wellness is reflected in our participation in the NYC Road Runners Program, as well as our volleyball and baseball teams that promote teamwork, discipline, and school pride. Students broaden their horizons through monthly high school and college tours that expose them to future academic and career opportunities. Through partnerships with Interborough Hospital, BRIC Arts Media, and New York University, students engage in authentic learning experiences, creative arts programming, mentorship opportunities, and career exploration. Families are active partners in our school community and participate in monthly parent trips that strengthen connections between home and school. At Ebbets Field Middle School, students are challenged to become strong readers, writers, mathematicians, leaders, and problem-solvers while discovering their talents in a supportive environment where every child is known, valued, and prepared for success in high school, college, and beyond.
