About the school

Ronald Edmonds Learning Center II is a small close-knit community school located in the heart of Ocean-Hill. Our school community is built on a foundation of fostering relationships, science, technology, arts and igniting passion in all scholars. The cloth of RELC II is knitted by the fabric of Community, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and Respect. These core values combined with Positive Energy and Constant Elevation creates an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, respected and celebrated. We believe that by the time our students graduate, they should be innovators, critical thinkers, self-starters and revolutionaries. Our caring administrators, teachers, and staff ensure the total well-being of every child, each of whom has a mentor and advocate. We provide opportunities for project-based hands-on learning experiences that engage students in exploration that challenges them to think critically. We also provide students with recreation, social-emotional development, global citizenship, and college and career readiness through Junior Virtual Enterprise. We are a uniform school and strongly believe that uniform makes everyone feel equal, well-groomed, and confident.
