About the school

At Spring Creek Community School (SCCS), a grade 6-12 school opened in 2012, students engage in an experiential learning curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving. Arts and technology are integrated into daily instruction, and students are programmed for additional math and literacy periods to support their success across the curriculum. Students benefit from enrichment electives and school-based partnerships with arts and academic organizations. All classrooms are equipped with Promethean Boards, document cameras, and class sets of laptops. Students are in an advisory that provides each child with social, emotional, and academic supports. Advisors support students throughout middle school, and build long-term relationships with families. Parents appreciate our focus on collaboration and communication, and all parents are registered with an online account, which gives them access to student progress reports and allows them to contact teachers directly. In order to support our six through twelve model, students who attend SCCS in middle school are strongly encouraged to continue their education in our high school.
