Welcome to PS/IS 30 Mary White Ovington, a vibrant K-8 school nestled in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Known for our commitment to diversity and nurturing environment, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of every student. Our dynamic staff ensures academic excellence across all subjects, fostering growth and achievement. Guided by our ROAR principles of Respect, Opportunity, Acceptance, and Resilience, we create a supportive community where every child can flourish.PS/IS 30 proudly hosts NYC's only dual language Arabic immersion program, in grades K-8, enriching our students' linguistic and cultural education. Additionally, all K-8 students have the opportunity to explore the arts through electives in visual arts, dance, music, and theatre. Affiliated with Broadway Bound Junior, we stage annual musicals that showcase our students' talents. We have a growing Band and Orchestra program. Exciting developments are underway at PS/IS 30, including the transformation of our library into a state-of-the-art media center featuring a computer room and podcast studio. Our partnership with NIA, a community-based organization, enhances our students' experience by offering seamless access to extracurricular activities in science, math, the arts, and sports.As a Leader in Me school, we empower our students to take ownership of their learning journey and develop leadership skills from an early age.
