About the school
P.S./I.S. 238a small school with a big heart. As a Pre-K through 8th grade school, P.S./I.S. 238 offers a close-knit, caring environment where every child is truly known and supported. Our zoned school community is built on strong relationships, and we take pride in nurturing students both academically and emotionally through every stage of their growth. We provide a rigorous, CCLS-based curriculum for all middle school students, with a strong emphasis on STEM and a well-rounded liberal arts foundation. Students explore their interests through in-school clubs designed for our artistically and athletically inclined learners. After school, we support academic success and enrichment through a variety of programs, including our CCM program, where students in grades 6-8 engage in STEM, art, cooking, and more. At P.S./I.S. 238, learning doesn t end with the bellfrom Zoom book club, to our very own podcast, HorsinAround with the Middle School Mustangs, we spark creativity and connection across our community.
