About the school

The East-West School is a small, inclusive school with a strong emphasis on college and career readiness beginning in the 6th grade. Students take Japanese, Korean, and Chinese language classes and additional ELA and Math classes to support high achievement. Our school culture embraces our four pillars: Honor, Excellence, Curiosity, and Celebration. We pride ourselves on providing a positive and safe school environment through Advisory, Student Government and a free, 5-day per week afterschool program through our partnership with Hodori, which offers homework assistance, extracurricular activities, and trips. Our college focused 6-12 program prepares all middle school students to take Regents examinations, provides a dedicated CBI college counselor who provides 1:1 guidance through the college application process and enables students to earn up to a year of college credit. Students who come to East-West are encouraged to remain through high school and reap the benefits of a rigorous and supportive 7-year program.
