About the school

Louis Pasteur Middle School 67Q offers three programs for incoming students: the Zoned Program, the Screened Program, and the STEM Lottery Program. Students engage in four core academic courses each year, along with STEM coursework in Coding and Robotics and a wide range of electives such as Journalism, Student Voice, Financial Literacy, Informational Literacy, Health, and other enrichment experiences that support a well-rounded education. Students may also select from six arts disciplines-—Studio Art, Graphic Art & Design, Theater, Dance, Vocal Music, and Instrumental Music-—to complete a three-year sequence that nurtures creativity and self-expression. Academic progress is closely monitored, and based on performance in Grades 6 and 7, students may access accelerated or double-accelerated pathways leading to Regents-level coursework in Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, as well as the Spanish Language Proficiency assessment. Beyond the classroom, students benefit from a free, on-site after-school program in partnership with the Samuel Field Y and can participate in more than 30 clubs, teams, and activities across all seasons. Through comprehensive social-emotional supports, including counseling services, team-based lessons, and assemblies, MS 67Q ensures every child is known and supported. This work is made possible through the dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment of our entire staff, who strive each day to create an engaging, inclusive, and high-achieving learning community.
