About the school
Our middle school offers a rich and engaging experience that supports both academic excellence and student development. Students participate in the arts through Broadway Jr., chorus, dance/step, and visual art. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive school culture through schoolwide restorative practices and peer mediation, as well as through student-led podcasts and daily school news broadcasts. As a Community School, we bring students, families, and staff together through events such as community dinners that build meaningful connections. Students in grades 7 and 8 engage in College Access for All, including visits to college campuses, helping them envision their futures beyond middle school. Leadership and engagement are encouraged through opportunities like Student Government. We offer a wide range of academic supports and enrichment opportunities, including our Rise and Thrive club program, Elevate after school program, and Saturday Academy to prepare for New York State exams build strong foundational math and literacy skills. Our school provides extensive after-school programming for all K-8 students through a partnership with NYJTL, ensuring that every student has access to enrichment, sports, and academic support.
