About the school

Our students receive an education that prepares them for high school and beyond, as part of a balanced education across academic disciplines. Students receive daily instruction in ELA, math, science, and social studies, along with arts and physical education. With a strong foundation, all students have the opportunity to take three regents exams in eighth grade: Living Environment, Algebra, and/or US History. Students engage in after-school sports (CHAMPS) and activities, and we offer an after-school program with Queens Community House (until 6 pm daily). Every year students extend learning through field trips. Families appreciate the regular communication they receive through email, phone blasts, text messages, and the school's grade book system.Principal Harrell and school administration are accessible to parents through regular family events. In our high school, QC students have access to multiple AP and college-credited classes, along with 30+ PSAL sports and yearly college/career planning. We have developed a seven-year program that ensures all of our students are ready for college and career when they graduate. As a community, we focus equally on students' social development, ensuring that students learn about and engage in healthy relationships and good decision-making.
