About the school

P.S./I.S.127Q will be celebrating our 100th year during the 2026-2027 school year! At P.S./I.S. 127Q, we will work collaboratively to promote the social and emotional growth of all 3K-8th grade students and cultivate self-motivated lifelong learners who are college and career ready. Our shared vision is to inspire students to pursue their dreams by fostering a safe, trusting, and nurturing environment that will promote academic, social, and emotional growth of all scholars at P.S./I.S.127Q. Some of the programs our school offers are General Education Classes, Dual Language Classes, English as a Second Language, ICT Classes/Enrichment, Technology, STEM, Aerospace Science, Flamenco, African and Bollywood Dance, Social-Emotional Programs, Mindfulness, Art and Chorus. At P.S./I.S. 127Q we provide an array of activities and events that foster the emotional and social growth of the student. Our Sports offerings include Basketball, Cheerleading, Volleyball and Soccer. In 2026-27, we will become part of the David Villa Soccer Academy program in partnership with the NYC Football Club. We also offer events that cater to the school's community. Some of the yearly events include: Fall Festival, Spring Festival, Fall/Spring Music Concerts, Family International Night, Family Literacy Night, and social events such as Family Bingo Night and Family painting events. Our active PTA sponsors school dances, attendance incentives, parent workshops, and other social events for the students and parents.
