About the school
At I.S. 145 The Joseph Pulitzer Magnet School of Innovation and Applied Learning, students are immersed in a dynamic educational environment that emphasizes real-world applications. We believe in educating the individual through a collaborative effort between educators, parents, and most importantly, the community. We not only strive to help our students grow in knowledge and depth of insight, but we envision and explore different ways we can equip our students to become the catalysts of change our community so eagerly awaits. Our strong academic program includes an award-winning Dual Language program, Regents track courses for Biology, Algebra I and Spanish. Parents have the option to enroll English Language Learners into a transitional bilingual or stand alone program, allowing students and parents to choose the best fit for them. In addition, our students receive instruction in visual arts, band, chorus, coding, dance, drama, culinary arts, and App Design in our spacious and technology equipped classrooms, including our Maker Space and Dance Studio. We also have a competitive basketball and soccer program. We would be more than happy to welcome you to I.S. 145Q and discover our vibrant learning community. #OnceALionAlwaysALion
